Privacy policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
tapón is a personal focus app for iPhone. This policy explains what information the app handles.
Information tapón handles
tapón does not require an account and does not collect or transmit personal information to a server operated by the developer. Profiles, preferences, session history, key names, colours, and settings are stored locally on your device. The lock PIN is protected using the iPhone’s secure Keychain.
When you use a physical key, tapón reads the NFC tag locally to identify it. NFC data is not sent to the developer. The app may use Apple system services, including Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings, notifications, and Live Activities, to provide its core features.
Information we do not collect
tapón does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or user accounts. The app does not sell personal information.
Apple services
Some features are provided by Apple frameworks and services on your device. Apple may process information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. tapón does not receive the contents of the apps you use or the content of your protected apps.
Data retention and deletion
Because your tapón data is stored locally, you can remove it by deleting profiles and history in the app or by deleting the app from your iPhone. Information shared publicly in a GitHub support issue is handled by GitHub under its own policies.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated before those changes apply.
